Dear Friends,
It seems like yesterday that I began my work at Holy Family as the Youth Ministry Director. In what seems to have been a blink of an eye, 14 years have passed. Your families welcomed me with open hearts and arms and shared in our joys as Joe and I were married and then welcomed our children, Will and Ryan. From those early snow tubing adventures, rosary and Tuesday dinners, weekend retreats, Vacation Bible School adventures, service trips, Hearts of Fire, Mommy and Me, building the youth lounge, leading The Rock @ Twp. and our Mission Trip to the Adirondacks, it has been a wonderful journey. Walking along side so many of you, preparing your children for sacraments and helping our young church know and live their faith has been inspiring and exciting!
Last September I was diagnosed with breast cancer and it was something that changed my life. As I journeyed through the different phases of treatment, I had many opportunities to pray and reflect on the blessings God has given to me in my life. My family being my greatest blessing. I am humbled at the love, prayers and friendship expressed to our family during that time, especially from my staff family and our priests and deacons.
After such a life-changing year, God has led the way to fulfilling a lifelong dream to pursue classroom teaching. He has directed my footsteps to Resurrection Catholic School where I will begin teaching in the fall. As I begin this new chapter, I know that I am closing my chapter at Holy Family. Blessed is an understatement to what it has meant to me to be a part of Holy Family. I will continue to hold you all in prayer and I ask for your prayers as well as. May God Bless you all.
