Holy Family Parish has joined with other area parishes and churches in helping to assist and support those who are homeless in Gloucester County. Four times each year, Holy Family will serve to host program families for a week. Whether you can make a meal, drive the van in the morning or evening, spend time in the evening with our guests or be an overnight Host, there are many opportunities for you and your family help the homeless. Family Promise, an Interfaith Hospitality Network with local and national connections.
When did Family Promise Gloucester County start?
The Family Promise – Interfaith Hospitality Network of Gloucester County Network opened its doors on December 18, 2005. The first guest family entered the Network on December 19, 2005. Since then, FP-IHN has served many meals, assisted many families, and welcomed many volunteers. The journey to open the Gloucester County Netork began long before December of 2005. Three years prior, a group of concerned community members formed the Network, with guidance from the National Family Promise Office, and worked hard to raise operating funds. Because of the dedication of the volunteers, Family Promise – Interfaith Hospitality Network of Gloucester County will only continue to grow and provide homeless families with a chance to regain stability.
