Mary Ann Milner, Cantor

The Cantor or Leader of Song is used to effectively lead the assembly to proclaim the Word of God through the singing of Psalms, congregational hymns, and responsorial singing.  Competency as a cantor is attained through practice and training provided by the Ministry of Music.  All persons who have good vocal abilities are encouraged to become a cantor.

SATB CHOIR



The Choir adds beauty and solemnity to the Liturgy, and also encourages and assists the congregation in singing.  Vocal and ensemble training comes from weekly rehearsals.  The Te Deum Choir welcomes all adults of the parish who enjoy singing and the camaraderie and fun that is a large part of this Ministry.

The Richard Beckman Ensemble

Contemporary Ensembles use other forms of instrumental music.  Contemporary music is used in liturgical services provided the musical product suitable for public worship.  The use of other instruments depends on circumstances and the nature of the congregation. The ensembles can find a place for all level of mastery of instrument or voice, and encourages teens and those who may feel young at heart to join them.

Hand Bell Choir



The hand bell choir shares the same characteristics with that of SATB Choir.  The sounds of the hand bells can stimulate feelings of joy and contemplation at the appropriate times.

The use of Hand Bells has been a part of a Church’s Worship Service down through the centuries.

Teen Ensemble



The Teen Ensemble is a newly formed choir made up of Junior High School Students.  The objective of the Teen Ensemble is to assist and encourage congregational participation in the Music of the Liturgy.

Children’s Choir


Holy Family Children’s Choir with Irene Sullivant

The Children’s Choir includes any child from grades 3-7, who is interested in sharing their vocal talents.  The Children’s choir is used at Liturgies for children and Liturgies of First Eucharist.  The voices of children singing have a direct effect on the worshiping community; encourages persons of all ages to spread the Word of God through song during the Liturgy.
