Rodney Long, a native of Charlottesville, Virginia, is Coordinator of
Music at Church of the Holy Family in Sewell, New Jersey.
Previously he was Organist-Director at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic
Church of the University of Virginia, Trinity Episcopal Church of
Charlottesville, Virginia, Church of the Redeemer, Presbyterian USA,
Washington, DC, and he has also held several Interim Positions.
Early music studies were were in piano, voice, and organ. Further
studies were done at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey
and the Peabody Conservatory of John Hopkins University in Baltimore,
Maryland. He has performed at the Kennedy Center of the Performing
Arts, the National Cathedral, the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception,
Washington, DC, Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, and Saint Patrick's
Cathedral in New York City. Finally, he has recorded the Gloria of
Francis Poulenc and the Lord Nelson Mass by Hadyn with the Westminster Choir
under the direction of Leonard Bernstein and choir preparations by
Doctor Joseph Flummerfelt. |
